Good back up detector

have to send the excal in for repair again, any opinions on the cz 21 as a back up
your feedback is appreciated

I use a CZ 20 and love it. Never tried an Excal, but I think the Excal and the CZ20/21 are the best water machine used by most people. JMO

Did I read some where that you are near Annapolis? I'm with Joe that CZ21 would be a great back up to the Excal. If you get one, you may even find you like it more in the brackish water of the bay and tributaries.
Cheers,
tvr

I'm of the opinion that unless money is an issue, your backup should be the same detector that is your primary. If money IS an issue or you aren't completely happy with what you have now, then save up for the best detector for you and the way you hunt and use the old one for backup.
