My new Etrac came in yesterday afternoon. I have a site that has been absolutely pounded with SE's, Xterras, and White's machines that I want to try it on this morning. Junk is everywhere and we have pulled some great finds here ranging from clad to silver to Civil War buttons and bullets. I just know that there is more stuff hiding. Hope to find something!!

Setting in the livingroom watching out the window for mine today. Good luck

I didnt get to hunt but about 45 minutes this morning so I concentrated on the trashiest junkiest part- about a 40' square. Now we have been over this part and the rest of it at a snails pace with our SE's quite a few times and thought that we cleaned it out. I didnt find anything great but I did find 4 old shotgun shells, a copper hair broach or something and a few little pieces of copper and brass. I did notice that on a few of the holes, there were nails in the hole with the items, the hair piece had 3 square nails in with it. What I couldnt figure out is all but just a couple of the targets were 2-4 inches deep. I also dug 2 pieces of iron junk that sounded pretty good and was alone in the hole, I thought that there may be something else in there with it but no luck. They only sounded good in one direction though. I didnt pay much attention to the numbers and was going mainly on what sounded good or halfway good. I cant wait to be able to swing it for a few hours and see what it can do, I believe it is gonna be a goodun!! I did use just a tad bit of discrimination. I may try the coin mode next time. That pro coil is amazing, it seemed to work as good as the ML 8" coil, I tried the slimline with my SE one time in there for about 20 minutes, then had to switch to a smaller coil. The only thing that I didnt like about the Pro coil is that every little stick got hung up in it, that will get annoying pretty fast with the spots that I hunt. My first impression is that it is very impressive and like I said cant wait to get out for a few hours with it and I will go back there when I do have more time.

I cant take too much away from the SE though, we did pick that little spot over pretty good, I was hoping to go in there and have silver jump out of the ground at me. It is early though:thumbup:
