I'm going to try for low tide on Friday. Hopefully this snow/rain has changed the super sanded in beaches in NH and ME!!! Hope you all had a nice turkey day!

Looks like not much wave action, but the wind has been moving. Please post what conditions you find, 'cause I might have a chance to hit southern Maine on Sunday.

Thanks,

I do York from time to time. I found a couple silver bands last winter in the wet sand. Do you come that far south?

I am going to try Hampton for low tide today. I will post my findings. The Hampton web cam is not showing very much erosion but it's hard to tell from that. I want to get out anyway so we'll see how it goes. Dress warm!!!!!!

Let me know how you did. I'll do the same as I am going to try Hampton today before noon. The web cam does not show any great erosion but it's hard to tell from that.

even though it's only 15-20 min further south, just seems much longer. Low tide doesn't seem to last long because of beach depth, and the black sand is a challenge, seems like real PI detector territory.

If I get the new Fisher Edge, I might take it down there, just to give it a real good thrashing in the black sand.

All NE beaches should be required to have elevation poles with web cams trained on them for we beach freaks! Consider it part of an energy saving program, we won't waste the gas to drive there!

Ya, there is a lot of black sand at that beach. Short Sands is fun to hunt as it is pretty small. I've had no luck at Long Sands but probably because it is so big and flat!!! I use the Minelab EX 11 and it does great in any kind of beach sand I've tried so far. I'm headed off for Hampton now. I'll update you guys later!
