I consider Pulse Induction machines as beep & dig. I have only hunted one Pulse Induction. It's (was) advertised as a two tone type machine. Hi/lo - nickel, alum, gold
Lo/hi Clad coins, iron. In the beginning I dug tons of trash but after learning the Machine, not all that much. Simply, trash signals are more drawn out, good targets shorter crisper. I'm no wiz but I can call a pull tab to a high degree. You just get to know a nickel / gold signal soon as you hear it. Of course there's always the iffy signal to check. Earlier I said (was) advertised, cause it's been recently discontinued. I bought this particular Pi because of the tones, and being able to change out coils.
Sounds something like what happened to the Golden , doesn't it.

In the first case, there's talk in the industry about hybrid PI's and I think that company may be involved. As far as the Golden, I honestly feel it was a loss of knowledgeable technicians. I've never heard of a discontinuance for lack of obtaining a part. To further this thought, word now is they are out of Mojave parts until March. The first case is in the wake of future technology.

When they stopped production of the tigershark that was what tesoros said...they could no longer get a fitting to swap coils out. If you look, they syraight hardwire them now but that lasted quite awhile with the tiger.
There was a post about the golden and a part also..
Except for minelab, who else has really got new tech that you were impressed with...something tesoro should do I mean. They have most bases covered dont they?

I'm impressed with the 3 Tesoros I have- they will probably last what few years I have left. A Mojave w/2 tones-like the Golden ll, with today's surface mount technology, would have left an old man like me with a featherweight like my Compadre but with all the tools necessary to enjoy a long hunt. And I would RATHER have a Tesoro. Just another Tesoro fan.
