Gone wireless on my F5

I ordered a set of Rapoo H3070s for my F5 on the 2nd of July and they came in today. Good that they did I was getting burned out power washing my roof. But that

I second gravitrulz question.

Very interesting in this option.

I'm to impatient to fart around with headphone wires but I'm finding the speaker on my f70 isn't very loud in some area's I hunt that have even minutes amounts of background noise, not to mention the fact I put a cover on my f70's battery box that covers the speaker as well so.....

Like this option though.:)

Very nice! Is there any noticeable delay in the audio?

No lag what so ever that I can discern. Thanks for asking.

Hmmmm? Now why didn't I address that previously?

I really need to start proof reading my posts eh?

Sorry about the incoherent mess.

No worries, besides it worked for me. I've posted more than a few myself.

I should mention, my giving the Rapoo H3070s a go was a leap of faith on my part. I've read elsewhere, possibly on another forum, the Rapoos won't work on Fisher's detectors? Seems it had something to do with RFI from the wireless transmitter. This may be true on there more sensitive machines like your F70.

Possibly. I'm looking at other brands as well just cuz I like major lables when it comes to electronics. Never heard of this brand.

The one thing about the f70 is it has frequency channels to select through like your f5 so I should be able to defeat any radio disturbance. Should.

I bought a set of these a few months ago and they work pretty well on the e-trac but not so hot on the 75ltd. The tones on it don't compare well with the e-trac to begin with and through the rapoos they are muffled and fuzzy. We put them on a friends MXT and the sound was a bit like you are describing with your F5-alittle scratchier than regular headphones. There's no discernable lag but the battery life is short at 6 hours and mine have begun to lose communication between transmitter and receiver intermitently as the battery wears down. I don't have any idea what the warranty is but until I could buy a pair that are easier to send in for service , I'd hesitate trying a pair.

I've had the wants for a wireless setup for quite some time so when I heard about these I figured, what the hey, for the price of a tank of gas I'll give them a try. At one time the battery life of 6 hours would have also been a concern for me but as of late I seldom stay out over 3-4 hours. Besides in a pinch I always have a spare set or two of wired head sets in my pack. My mane concern is that they last for a descent amount of time. At least a little beyond the 15 day warranty.

I can't complain as mine cost me a total of $0.82 after the Amazon $50 card offer which I promptly canceled. They're still working and nice in the Summer heat--have gone to using ear buds on my 75ltd.

Well, :thumbup:that's wicked pissah if they function and operate satisfactorily. Keep us posted on this, I would like to find something that would work on the F70 on account of the summer heat too! A full set of heavy phones is nice in the cold, but not too much when it gets hot.

I took advantage of a low tide yesterday and hit the beach for about three hours using the wireless headset. The set worked flawlessly the whole time. In one respect they worked to well.

I found going wireless it was just so easy to lay the F5 down to dig targets that I didn't notice, soon enough, the sharp barnacles on the rocks were in full attack mode on my F5s housing.:rage:

Most beaches I hunt are covered with a mix of course sandy gravel and rocks with

I've been lurking here for a few months. I have an F5 and decided to buy a pair of the Rapoo headphones on eBay.I will let you know how they work.

I got out today for a few hours and visited a small park that normally gets very little activity. For the record; After GB, gain@60, thr@+6, dscr@20,&no notch, tones d3.

I again enjoyed using the Rapoo wireless headset during this hunt. The temp was in the mid-80s and I found the

Tried my wireless headphones and they seem to introduce static. Not unbearable.
Anybody else notice that?

Still found a couple zinc cents and a dime in an area I've gone over many times.

Non here. Is this a site you've not hunted previously? Could it be EMI?

As noted previously they don't duplicate the same quality sound as a wired headset. But for me going wireless far out weighs that issue.:clapping:

Pictured are my keepers for today, plus a few for whatever.

16 coins including the 3 wheats on the bottom. The rectangle is what's remaining of a old coin silver lighter weighing in a nice 42 gr..:bouncy:

Similar to the issues I experienced with 75ltd. I don't even try wireless anymore , just cheap earbuds on the 75.

I think you are correct, it probably was EMI.

I had hunted adjacent to this spot but not exactly in this spot and there are power lines nearby.
