Been detecting for a very long time and at one point decided to give nugget hunting a try. So way back when, I believe in 1997, I purchased a brand new, White's Goldmaster V/sat. My hunting partner and myself took a seminar with Jimmy Sierra in the Mojave Desert on gold recovery techniques. As life would have it, that was the one and only time the machine had been used.
So, once again, life changes and I'm back detecting again. I decided to give nugget hunting another try. I brought out my Goldmaster and it looks as pristine as the day I bought it. Perfect.
So, this brings me to my question. As far as the machine is concerned, it's in mint condition and everything works just like the day I purchased it. But technology has greatly advanced and the technology pertaining to my Goldmaster is decades old. Is it worth keeping, or should I pursue purchasing a newer gold machine of any brand?
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read my post and perhaps responding. Best to all.
