Hi I bought a Goldmaster 2 but it didnt have the manual so I downloaded one from the Whites site but my machine is slightly different. In the manual downloaded the threeway switch is labelled SALT-PINPOINT-SAT on my machine it is labelled RESET-PINPOINT-SAT and the switch is springloaded on the RESET position.Does anyone know what is the function and use of this RESET setting? My machine also has a knob on the front of the control box next to the battery compartment.This knob has a click off position and can be turned up or down similar to a volume control.There is no mention of this in the downloaded manual,I have seen some Goldmaster 2s with a flip switch in this position.Once again what is the function of this switch or in my case the knob. Anyone know where I can get or download a manual for my particular model. thanks Seeya Neilo
 
Thanks Hendoendo I have just downloaded the V sat manual and you are right my detector is the V Sat model. It could well be a modified model it hasnt got the usual V Sat markings.I used to have the earlier model without V Sat about 8yrs ago but didnt have it for long and never got to learn the machine properly. I remember a friend of mine had the V Sat model and he did very well with it. I am pleased that I now have the V Sat model myself, I also own minelab machines SD, Explorer 2 , Sovereign and Excalibur. But none are as sensitive as this machine for small gold so I am looking forward to using it in the goldfeilds. Thanks again seeya Neilo
 
The switch on the front of the box is for mono or sterio, down for both ears is usual.

Iv'e got a minelab 2100 but my goldmaster 2 is better on the small nuggets.

You have got a V-Sat one of the best detectors made ever ! remember to ground balance it whilst detecting it needs to be played with, but it will show you gold if you let it teach you those ground sounds.
