Golden's depth

I can run the Golden in Disc. at full max boost most of the time in my area and in the bad areas can run it at 8. What kind of depth can I expect to obtain from this unit? This detector seems to be very good on small targets, like a 22 bullet at around three inches but I primarily hunt for old deep coins. I also have noticed that the signal in disc comes through clear but switch over to AM and it doesn't seem to be as clear or "bold signal" . I believe an upgrade in headphones may solve that.

Bill, I have a machine with boost mode and actually never run it that high.
The other machines without boost, I run sensitivity all the way up, if they don't chatter.

...and I don't mean to be negative, but if your goal is deep coins, you might be better served by a Tejon, than the Golden.

If you can find the thread by Mike Hillis on the fine points and use of the Golden, you will see clearly where it excels.

Circuitry of the Tejon is, I think, very close to that of a Fisher 1270 which is a powerful machine and deep as any.
