I seldom post finds but the size of the chain is so impressive I couldn't resist posting it. Found early this morning in a gravel area where a swing set is located at the elementary school just down the street from my house. It's 3/8 of an inch wide, 37 inches long and weighs 117.6 grams. Penny is for size reference. Was running the Golden in all metal mode, as I normally do in tot lots, playgrounds, athletic fields and anywhere else that isn't loaded with junk. I got the 18 k chain in the bottom photo last month at the same place with a Goldtrax Treasure Baron, not much over a foot from where I got the one today.

I sent a box of gold and silver jewelry, including the 18k chain, to Midwest Refineries about a week after I found the gold chain and the price when they processed my shipment had dropped to just below $1,500. I got $478 for that batch, but I sold almost $2,000 worth when gold was about $1,150 an ounce, wish I had kept all of it until now. There's an outside basketball court right beside the graveled area where I found the chains, and I've also found several gold and silver rings there. Pickup basketball games are held there on a regular basis by young men, teenagers and some as old as mid twenties, and some of them sit in the swings, and have contests to see how far they can jump out of the swings, while waiting their turn to play. The adult size jewelry is lost by those guys.
