Golden Week

I went down to Rye Patch Nevada for some training with My X-Terra 70, over the weekend I had a little luck I found a .2 gram Nugget with the X-Terra on Saturday, then on Sunday I was using my Gold Bug II and found another .2 gram Nugget.

Monday on the way home I decided to take a break from driving in the wind and stopped by the Humboldt River to do a little detecting by some of the old camp sites and found this Gold toned $100 peso about an inch below the surface.

Nice finds. I found a 1988 $1000 coin yesterday. To bad mine is not worth anything. You weren't by chance getting your training from Gerry were you? Once again nice finds and thanks for sharing. HH Dennis in Idaho

Congratulations on your finds. It's good to see the smaller nuggets being found by people since it shows just how effective this detector is with smaller gold. Almost any detector can pick out the larger material. What sort of sound feedback did you get when you spotted the nuggets? Faint pitch rise with a small radius (small target area)?

nice finds i have a coin like yours only it is a 1990. have no idea what the value is,but they look like real gold! HH GARY

Yeah Gerry is tops. I bought my first ml from him in Feb. the almighty X70....dang good detector, heading to a club hunt(my first) next weekend...can't wait.
