If you notch out bottle caps, what else would you end up notching out in the process?

Amost all mens gold rings and class rings get notched out, they fall within the tab area. Ladies gold rings are outside the tab range, most will be detected.

Quick question. Can the Golden uMax notch out modern square pull tabs and still sound off on nickles?

Experiment with your notches as indeed it can but you will still get some beavertails and oddball real old tabs...

If that's the case, that would make the Golden a great detector to swing in modern day parks in search for gold jewelry and coins.

The Golden might be my next detector.

I wouldn't sell my Golden for any amount of money. It is the modern park hunters ticket to the goods. You will still dig a few tabs but you will dig the good stuff right along with it.

THRESHOLD is a secondary sensitivity control. Reducing THRESHOLD helps knock out more tabs in NOTCH mode.
