Golden Umax speaker question???

I just saw a picture of a Golden Umax where the external speaker cover was round with holes. My used Golden Umax that I just bought a couple of weeks ago has an external speaker cover that is octagonal with slits. I was just wondering which is the newer model and if there were any other changes from the older Golden Umax's design?? Thanks , Craig.

Hello, The one with the slits is the newest one. Tesoro had several with the holes that changed to the slits. I believe they did it to keep help keep things from dropping into the speaker area such as sand or raindrops. Tesoro always improves thier products!!! Gotta luv em!!!:clapping:

Thanks for the reply!! It's good to know that my used Golden Umax is the newer version. Thanks again for the info - I appreciate it!! Happy Hunting , Craig

.... or "slits," are also on a plastic faceplate, vice the metal one previously used. Otherwise, the two are the same detector.
