Golden Umax Question ???

Is there any other way to distinguish the new toned Golden to the old tone Golden without listening to it ??
Maybe serial numbers ...etc...

According to Mike Hillis' posts, starting with serial # 109900. Type in "Mike Hillis" as author in search venue to find tons of useful info. This guy is driving me crazy because I don't have a Golden. I have a Tracker IV and have mastered the tones on it, but I like Tesoro's response on nickels/gold much better-they nail targets in that area. I also have a Royal Sabre that comes close to the versatility of the Golden, but it's lowest discrimination level is bottlecaps and sometimes I would like to go at close to iron nail reject.
