Golden Umax Question Please

 I bought a used Golden uMax awhile back. It is the one with the metal faceplate (older version). I noticed that the threshold knob was loose. Also, the threshold knob has 2 set-screws while all the other knobs just have 1 set-screw. I removed the knob and was surprised to see that the stem coming out of the box behind the knob was slim plastic and not metal like all the others. Is this normal? Or has someone replaced this? If any of you have the older version uMax please look at your unit and see if yours is like that and let me know. I would appreciate it very much. Happy Hunting :detecting: and Tesoro rocks

Without removing the knob to be 100% certain, it looks like mine could be plastic. The color of the stem is blue.

I hope that this helps

Sorry I have the newer model wish I could help.

I have the older model with the round speaker. All the shafts are aluminum. All knobs have one set screw. I love the Golden, great audio tones. Have 3 coils plus the CleanSweep.
