If you not getting the beaver tail type your going to be missing Gold !
Use less discrimination and set your notch up to get the nickels and beaver tails ( use the narrow side )
I own four machines and this is my go to machine for gold jewellry , I've been using it for about 8+ years now .

Thanks for educational the video. I've been looking for one, and bought a used one today from a fellow in Texas. It should be here in a week or so. This will be my first Tesoro. I've been using the CZ3D with a DFX for a back up. Was hoping the new Cazador would have been out by now, and would have had tone i d, but I'm done waiting.
Also, this one comes with the stock coil, and a 5.75'' coil.

Thank you very much for the answers. It is not my video (i should have mentioned it) and I don't have this machine yet, but I'm very interested in getting one. It would be perfect for my area where pull tabs are the biggest problem. I was hoping, the Golden uMax could be a solution as it seems to have this "special" notch feature, where you can still get gold rings unlike other machines. It does not have to be any kind of pull tab. I would be happy if I could eliminate some of them.
