Golden U-Max on the way.

Beale

New member
Well I got a Golden comming to me. I will be all Tesoro now. What the heck gotta try something different. I will now have a DeLeon, Cutlass II Umax and the Golden, Beale.

the terrible trio is complete again!..should be able to find somethin' now!

Beale, I'm coming back to the Tesoro fold as well. I have a new Tejon coming. However, I like my XT-70 too much to ever get rid of it. I'm sorry I ever traded away my Eldorado. That was a good machine.

I just got another Golden too Beale, I have kicked myself over & over for ever letting the original one I had get away. :tesoro:

the tones automatically shift and blend when iron and non ferrous targets are near each other, this detector really talks a language. I have another brand detector with 4 tones. It locks onto the strongest tone, doesn't give a second tone when another target is close by. The Golden is a keeper.

I plan to get another one too. Here is what I think is my perfect arsenal:

Tejon for relic hunting
Golden uMax for coinshooting
Sand Shark for beaches and water hunting (where truly digging it all will pay off).

So far I just have the Tejon but my F5 is sold, so it's 100% Tesoro from here on in.

Didn't know that. Interesting. What about when a nickel and dime are together-with the dime UNDER the nickel? Would you let me know if it gives a high tone? I loved the BH Tracker for this when I first started and always wished Tesoro had a two-tone system that would break at tabs. Of course, now that I have the Compadre, it could mean getting another Tesoro.:stars:

Sling, did air test. Nickle sitting directly on the silver quarter, get high tone. Nickle sitting on silver dime, get nickle tone. Then had nickle 1" above and 1" to the right of quarter get high tone/medium tone from quarter and nickle. The dime needed to be shifted 2" to the right to get high tone/medium tone. Nickle was kept 3" below coil in both tests.

Wow! Thanks. I can live with that. The nickel sitting on top of the dime gave a high tone with the Tracker. I understand that adjusting the notch width or notch control can change the break points in the standard disc mode, so maybe it can be slightly adjusted-at any rate-that's close enough.

Hey Dan, thanks for selling the F5 to some one, no longer tempted after seeing your ad listing...:clapping:
Haven't tried a Golden yet. I'm happy with my Eldo and Silver, still need to add a third Tesoro....they are so small and cute:rolleyes:
My wife will kill me..........

Yes, it's gone. It was a good machine, probably the best display machine I had. But it's back to basics and back to better finds.
