Golden Pull tab

Well some of the snow has melted & there are a few spots of grass showing so off I went. Got a message from a friend today & he had to tell me that he had found a silver ring just the other day. This ticked me off because I had not been able to hunt much & the jewelery had been alluding me of late. Of the few spots that were clear one was a practice field so I hit it, with the intent of digging all signals. Of course the first several were clad penny's then a solid 32 on the mxt. Knew darn well that it was a pull tab but I thought what the hell so I pinpointed the target then probed with the screwdriver. Could not feel anything so I probed with the hand held pin pointer & got the signal. I worked the hole a little with the pin pointer & out popped a nice 14k size 10 band, hot damm first gold of the year. Another hour hoping for more gold & within minutes I get a solid 14 another ring, black skull & cross bones 316 surgical steel ring. I gave it a few more minutes & knew that I better get home to fix the wife lunch, so I called it a day.

Two rings & $1.50 in change. The other ring in the pic was some bling I found last month & could not remember if I had posted a pic of it. When it came out of the ground I was hoping to see 14k on the inside cause I knew if it was 14k then the 50 to 60 small stones would be real. NA just bling.

Great going Bula! Glad you could get out and hunt. I love it when you know you have a target and use your probe and can't find a thing, but keep working and out pops a ring! It just doesn't get much better. Thanks for sharing and I hope many more rings come your way. HH, Nancy

Nice work Bula. Almost makes the wait worth it I imagine. ( Easy for me to say! ). I've only been having modest luck lately but your finds are motivating me even more. I've gotta start learning to pop out targets with a screwdriver. I've been reading about it but just haven't tried that technique yet. Thanks for the post.

srf2112 it is really quite easy once you get use to it. I have only dug a few plugs in the two years I have been hunting.

jerryrigg I would love to be able to hunt a beach & I am sure your treasure will come.

Nancy I would like to get a third as many rings as you got wheat's last year, hope your snow is going going gone.

Thanks Bula and little by little the snow is going away. We're to get to a whopping 38 degrees out. And I wish you many many ring finds. You're off to a great start........AGAIN!!!! HH, Nancy
