Golden MM as a pin pointer

I hate to get rid of my Golden MM so I was wondering if anyone has made a pin pointer out of the machine and how you did it and what you used to make it. Did you have to cut the cord off?? If you have pictures I would appreciate if you would post them. I have a 4" coil that I used on it. I have questions about it. I just think it would make a excellent pin pointer and would be very sensitive on the small stuff. I have a few pin pointers that I use but like I said I hate to get rid of my Golden MM. I've seen people do it with their Silvers and Compadres, but never a Golden, but why not! The ones I saw did have the poles and cables cut down with the 4" mounted on the end. I've seen 3 or 4 done, and they all were slightly different. Post the picture of it when you do it!

and save thr rods. I am not going to cut the cord either. I will make me a long one and just take the box off the rod. Anyway just something to play with. Later Jerry aka Tinfoil.
