On the Instruction Manual link on the KellyCo site, the Technical Manual for the Notka Golden King DPR shows all coils operating on 12.5 kHz. However, the brochure from Notka for the same unit shows all coils operate on 17.5 kHz. I am wondering what frequency the currently available models use?
Also, the Makro DeepHunter New brochure shows the Mode 1 coils operating on 12.5 kHz and the Mode 2 coils operating on 17.5 kHz, while the depth charts show all coils on 12.5 kHz. Could you please clarify this? Also, I see the JeoHunter models show 12.5 kHz on all coils.
I emailed Kellyco, but they say there is no representation of coil frequency on these units on their site and it's up to me to find out what frequencies are used.
I'm thinking there are different models and perhaps I am not understanding the Turkish dates/copyrights on these publications. However, as you know, a surface coil will have quite different behavior under 12.5 kHz than 17.5 kHz on small surface items.
I'd be greatful for any clarification.
