Golden Gold, Golden Silver

Mike Hillis

Well-known member
Sunday morning I got out for two hours with the Golden/Cleansweep combo and came home with a nice silver bracelet and another diamond ring. I had my disc halfway between iron and the preset mark. The bracelet hit way down in the foil range with a low tone and was heavy enough that I thought it was white gold, but looking through the eyepeice loop showed "925" and a "Made in Italy" stamp. My pictures don't do it justice, its a very nice peice with raised lettering stating "I Love You" that runs across it several times.

The ring is a 10KT diamond engagement style ring. Not the highest quality as the stone is a small one. The stone setting itself is what you see in the prongs. Still a very nice looking ring. Some lady is missing this one. It also hit in the foil range with a low tone with overtones of the nickel tone in it. My picture sucks but its the best I can do.

Also found two other rings but they were junk. One had me going as it was a wide band and all I saw before I put it in my pouch was the inside of a wide yellow ring with three holes under where the stones would be. That was my first target and for the rest of the hunt I was hoping that would be a good find but nope, when I got home and emptied my pouch and sorted treasure from trash, it showed to be junk.

Very nice!
I have to try a Golden sometime. So many here seem to love it.

The 4 tones and the notching make the Golden such a neat detector. For example: put a piece of foil and a dime 3" apart and sweep the coil over them. They are close together so you will hear one beep, but you will hear a change in the tone from each target. That's fast. With a single tone detector you would think it is one target.
