Golden day

Hopefully I will be able to post pictures. My hunting partner and I went to a city park and searched without too much success. It was extremely hot & humid and was tired, hot & discouraged.I checked around a picnic table strewn with trash and got a solid 12-28 I believe, which usually isn't a good number, but have been pleasantly surprised a couple of times. I dug the plug and flapped it over. I looked down into the hole and sticking out the side of the hole about 2-3 inches down was a very bright yellow object. I instantly could tell by the color that it was at least 22kt. gold. I carefully pulled it out and realized it was a pendant attached to a chain. I had to work very hard at containing my excitement and slowly and carefully dig around it so as to not break it.It turned out to be a 22 kt chain with a 24kt. pendant over an ounce and a half of gold.

Sounds like you just paid for your E-Trac and a little to boot. Congratulations on a great find. Post some pictures if you can. We don't get to see that kind of Gold every day. Rick IL.
