I am impressed! I can understand how you could trace a class ring, but how do you trace something with such limited information? How long was it lost?

I'm assuming you canvassed the hotel near the beach you found it at, or something similar? I'd be curious to hear of your technique. Does it help that the ring was unique (18k/plat diana)?

Great Find and even Better Return:thumbup:

The ring appeared to be a new loss. This one was so easy to return, as easy as the find. Lots of folks here know me, lifeguards, hotel security, police etc. Dave got my name from a article in a book about my ring returns by accident and called me.

Usually I do, as bda said and canvas the local hotels when I make a find that i think is a new loss. On this one I can not take any credit for getting it returned. I was just a tool in the process directed by the one in control. Still, it is a good warm feeling to be part of the process.
