Gold!

a little 3 GRAM fillagree crude cast. could not read the markings but looked foreign. real yellow. took it to shop and the owner tested it with acid. withstood 18kt acid with ease. he thinks 21-22 kt foreign made-- maybe Thai or Indian-- Asiatic at least. the ring was 4 inches or so down on a peewee football field and rang up 12-14 range. a beavertail broken off range-- but repeatable solid signal. the ring was smashed but so soft bent it back in shape with bare fingers, and no crease marks. so not much alloy. and heavy for the size. i'll take it....or rather the 7 yr old granddaughter lol!

That is a very pretty ring.

I don't know if your young granddaughter would take care of it like she should, maybe save it for her when she's a bit older. You see how easily it was lost....Or maybe melt it down and have a special pendant made for her. Great find and HH, Nancy

She has her own little treasure box here. costume and so forth. she keeps her silver ring on Grannies ring keeper. its her's when she gets old enough i guess. i have a bunch of costume bling like the charm ring i am going to assemble for her on a junk bracelet. she never complains! and we shall hunt the backyard this weekend-- amazing how many coins are "LOST" there...lolololol! and a little bling too.....

thanks folks! broke a long drought with my limited palces to hunt.

I love that high carat Indian gold, Some of my best gold has come from these neighborhoods.

Congrats on the ring!!!

I have found several pieces of 24KT gold. Your ring maybe 24 as well. It is most likely Hmong. It is part of their culture to have pure gold for each family member even very young children. Great find.

still cant make out the mark.. thought was Asian by design. its too small a mark for my camera but never seen it before. 18kt acid did not faze it and it is so easily bent by hand, and it looks like its actually crude. the band is wire and the top is actually two piece. 18--22--24 it all sounds great. i have another guy- master goldsmith to show it to Monday when he gets back from vacation. will post it then.

22kt folks! had the expert master jewelers look at it- two different ones-Arabic marks and their styling. i'm happy
