gold with the Etrac

I went to E. Tn. to spend Thanksgiving with my family. My brother and I went to our niece's house Saturday and detected there for a couple of hours. I ended up with a 1947s Rosie and a 1941 Wheat. My brother ended up with 3 Wheaties.. We went to a elementary school yesterday evening for a short hunt before dark and I scored my first gold in a while and my first with the Etrac.. a 10k ring that rang in at 12 05/12 06. The ring came from wood chip a tot lot and has been trampled on... but I'll take it... lol

Nice finds I found a 1951 10k class ring from 1951 gold is great to find found mine with my Deus

Did you know there is a video on YouTube for finding more gold rings with the E-trac?

I used it in a park. I found just one pulltab before I found a gold ring.

Finding Gold Rings Program with E-trac

Above is the link to the program.
Tony, I have that pattern d/l and on my Etrac and used it a couple of times.. It works well on a lot of gold rings but it won't pick up some larger rings. I tested it on some gold rings that I have and my larger rings weren't detected. I wasn't using it when I found this ring. I use it in some parks.. hoping to cherry pick. some smaller rings with BIG diamonds.
There's a pool area that's loaded with pull tabs that sound like a machine gun when you swing the coil. I can go over that area with that program and it really quietens down the detector. I was going to hit that area this morning but woke to rain. If the weather is better this afternoon I may hit that area with that pattern

I agree about that program knocking out some rings. That's why, after I put that program into my E-trac I made adjustments to be able to hit my other rings.
The problem though is one digs more pull tabs.

I find many gold rings in the tot lots. Need to dust off my pans and go do some panning. But find more in tot lots than anywhere else. Those rings add up.

I seem to do well in the tot lots also. The first time out with a new CTX and hit a silver and gold ring. Not sure if its the kids loosing them or the mom's but either way they seem to be good places to regularly hunt.

I have a small kit of test items I sometimes use to set up my detectors to see what kid of numbers Im getting. While I hunt by sound as it is more accurate. The etrac takes it to a new level with the numbers and being able to go open screen on go to verify a deep target. Met a guy with a metal probe that would actually tell him what he was digging. They dont make them anymore, but thought about building one if I can figure out how it works.

Im more comfortable with the F75 and weight and batterys are a plus over the etrac for me. I would like to do some nugget shooting and may knock on some doors soon now the weather is less likely to hurt ya or your vehicles.

Looking for nuggets is new to me.

both are nice.. I found the silver the day before I found the ring.,. They combined with spending time with family was priceless
