Gold times two...

Member
Went out hunting in a local park today and found about 7 dollars in clad and two wheats. a 1942 and a 1929. I was just taking my time and collecting clad and I got a perfect nickel signal. I dug it up and it was a nickel at 4 inches. I rechecked the hole and didn't even take a step and got a solid 14 signal about a foot away. It read 0 inches and I thought probably can slaw or something. I put my pinpointer down and dug through the grass with my fingers and pulled out a gold ring with 5 small diamonds!

I was ecstatic! Then I walked no more than three feet and got a solid 14 again. This one said 3 inches. I dug down and out popped another gold ring! This one has a pinkish/purple looking stone in it.

Two gold rings in less than 5 minutes! A first for me!

Congratulations Magic.....fantastic......:clapping:

Very nice..I have yet to find anything quite like that with the V3 but the anticipation is always..there. Great finds

Nice finds, Magic. Looks like the reddish stone could be tourmaline (just a guess).

Good going Magic, many people don't dig the lower numbers and wonder why they don't find the rings. Rob

The pinkish purple one is probably an Amethyst.

If they are both the same finger size, then chances are the same young lady was twice as sad as you were happy.

If only you could mend her broken heart?

...............The sentimental Marshall.

Magic....find the lady, and I will be the first to reward you.

Well,
I think I found the lady Marshall,
My girlfriend has claimed them...does that count?

I wish I could find the rightful owner... The jeweler said that the one with the pink stone has been wore for a long time and is old. They can tell by the wear marks on the clasp that hold the stone. The other one is real diamonds and is a newer ring.

I think I will keep what I have. I have a special relationship with my V3! :cheekkiss:

Nice, Magic - congratulations! I have only found one gold ring since I started detecting about a year ago...oh, and one gold necklace, all with my MXT. I have a V3 and am hopeful that elusive gold will show up soon. Thank you so much for posting - those rings are beautiful!

Nugget :)
