its made in the usa!
 
I have never used it the one that I use is the Mizar gold tester from kellyco it is accurate they have two types the one that I have ranges from 10 to 18 kt and the other one ranges from I think ??? 9 to 24 kt.
 
I use the mizer too, have both the 18 and 24, only thing is the liquid is not cheap. The one in the link looks interesting, if it works as claimed, i'll be watching this thread with interest
 
i read about the mizar tester it says u have to replace the acid every 6 months do u guys do that??
