My wife beat me good today at the park with her 2500. First she found a 1949 silver threepence, then about 15 minutes later, she found a huge (loose on my thumb even!) 9kt gold band. Later this afternoon we went to a playground and she found the 9kt earring laying on the surface of the wood chips (eyeballed it before the detector ever got near it!)
She also found a little over $8.00 in change, some of which she promptly spent on a lotto ticket... feeling lucky!
I found 5 cents, and lots of junk. DOH!
