Gold & silver from a lake Friday

Spent a nice afternoon searching the lake bottom with the ATP. After learning what I did recovering the gold bracelet last week I hit a beautiful lake hoping for something pretty
again. The bangle is a "Richard Parker sterling silver modernist hand hammered button bangle bracelet" - that's a mouthful but exactly what it is. Saw them selling at up to $95. It cleaned up nice an my wife seemed to like it. The 2013 class ring should be an easy return and just think that they very recently just got this ring. I can't believe what these cost to buy vs how little the gold is worth. I wonder if the kid or the parent paid for it? This one might have close to hundred bucks worth of gold once you delete for the stone & alloy. At least it wasn't that lustrium stuff glinting at me. All I ask is that I get to return it in person and get a photo for our club news letter. There is 1/2 of a best friend charm (junk) and a junk ring ring with a small red "stone". The bangle is resting on a 5x magnifier that I use for quick field inspections of finds. The 10x and 16x loupe & doublet get used if warranted on a find.

I haven't tested the froggy yet, no visible markings on it. The German / USA flag pin was worse than a fish hook to store while hunting. I used to carry a plastic beach safe to put the sharps in, I dig less iron do I don't always carry it - this target surprised me.
Another fun time with the ATP, I 3 have dedicated water units to choose from, 2 are good in the fresh and I keep taking the Garrett. Never could have imagined this a year ago.

Nice group of finds. The last class ring i returned had been lost 5 years, the girl had worked all summer to pay for it, when i returned she cried(she had thought it was gone forever). The memory of returning it is far more valuable to me than the value of the metal.

Yes, the gold isn't anything - seeing their face when its returned would be the prize.

Nice finds, ytcs.
Returning a lost ring to it's rightful owner must be a great feeling and I hope I get to help somebody out like that some day, ralph.

Very good work! :clapping: You sure found some cool bracelets this year for some reason! Sweet ring too, let us know what happens with that one!

I'm looking forward to spreading some happiness. I will admit I can be cranky in that I want to return this in person. That's my reward. Simply dropping it off at the school or mailing to Jostens (a company right here in CT) is not going to give me any satisfaction. I promise to do my best to get it back to the owner. Tho returning it to the school is doable as a last resort.
