Here are some finds from the past couple months....Had been hitting the parks and schools during the holiday break while the weather was cool, and the past week the beach since its been 80 degrees...got 14.96 Monday morning at the beach along with the 14k heart and chain and the silver BFF chain and charm....the frog ring, plated band, bracelets(not silver),Small... very small heart charm, says "live the Dream" and trumpet mouth piece came from a few school yards, the other items came from parks and soccer fields including the 59 Rosie that was a sun baker...go figure....all the rings are junk...the one with the stones was a solid 12 tid at 5 inches deep would have bet it was a nickle, still looking for that 12 tid gold ring.
I was at a park/recreation center today....stayed a little to late and the school buses started pulling up dropping off kids....making my way back to the truck my coil ears broke...And..to make matters worse the kids called me a "Digger"!!....HH GL

well it looks like you had a few nice hunt and congrat's on finding the gold heart. I've found about 25 gold rings in the past 7 years and not one of them had a TID lower then 12.

Sorry to hear about the coil ears. I would call ML and see if they can help you out with the broke coil.

also, we are all Diggers in a since, lol

The first gold ring i ever found was a TID 12,found with the X30 seven years ago...an indelible reference!!
Would not want to discourage my fellow ML MDers from digging 2,4,6,8,and 12 TIDs...most small gold rings(ladies) with stones are going to be in the lower TIDs,not much in gold weight,But big in stones.A large diamond engagement ring i found for a friend of mine was a TID 2..worth $4,800.00....A gold grill i found in October was a TID 6
Most of the large heavy bands are the higher TIDs http://findmall.com/read.php?55,1734473

..22K is the must here,, the challege is to discrimate off the junks from the trashy beaches...

I love that show. Seems to me they act no worse than Tom Massey on gold fever but I don't see people railing him.
