Gold Ring Owner Identification Problems

I finally found some information on the ring I found Sunday. It not a class ring. It is for a religious order. I don
IF there is no kind of personal ID on it then you've got yourself a ring.

Bill
There are initials. I figured I would do the right thing and send out one email. I emailed the only address for the Missionary of the Sacred Heart. Here is the reply from Sister Mary in Mexico.

Greetings. I am a Missionary of the Sacred Heart from the U.S. but I live and work in Mexico. It was good to you to write about finding the ring. All Roman Catholic Sisters make First Vows and then final vows at that time we all receive a ring. In my Congregation (MSC) we wear a silver ring but there is another Missionary Congregation founded by Mother Cabrini and their title in Latin is a bit different than our title in Latin therefore it is their Congregation that you want to contact. For sure there was a group of Sisters that made their Final Vows in 1969 and I am sure the Sister who lost the ring will be most grateful. I could not find an e-mail for them. However, they have a shrine to Mother Cabrini in Golden, Colorado and below is the email for them.
They will be very grateful if you send your e-mail to them and you make some Sister very happy for Easter.

Gratefully,

Sr. Mary, M.S.C.

I emailed the other order. We will see what happens. I'll keep you posted.

If there is enough info engraved in the ring for you to attempt a return then you should. The gold value to us is nothing compared to the personal value of the ring to the person who lost it.
If this ring is finding it's way back to the person who lost it then we should assist that process.

Well I received an email back from Sister Mary in Mexico and she told be this is a Catholic Sister's ring. She gave me a email address in Colorado to contact. It's been a week and no response. The email I sent explaining my find didn't get kicked back so it got through. I feel I did the best I could to contact the owner so I guess I am the proud owner of this ring now. That's how finders keepers works BRO.
