gold ring from the cheasapeake

found this at a beach on a river off the Chesapeake with Whites DF 10k that detector is deep but i do dig alot of junk

Very Nice Gold, Was this the .
West River? Off of the Chesapeake? Reason, I was out there Sunday and seen a yellow coil from a distances..and it was no excal. From there I jumped over to Beverly-Triton Beach and ran into the Nice DNR Officer.

nice to know someone from MD is on here, I was on the Severn river at an old beach in Severna Park the biggest problem around here is mos of the beaches are private

I here ya ,been in Maryland all my life ,retire this spring ,i would like to move to South Carolina but i have a girlfriend with grandchildren lol holden me back

Private beaches but the waters open season ,i do have a whaler 13 ft sport can drop in by Gibson Island

Ya ive been over thier to dobbin island ,someone bought it and has signs posted ,believe that ,i crab close buy to that island and drop the boat close to it ,thinking about getting the excall 11 in spring instead of the cz21 gearing up ,been hunting on land to long friends want me to learn how to dive but its on hold lol ones a master diver ,trainer

I think I know the SP Beach, it is more like a swimming hole at the bottom of the hill, lots of nice homes in there. Also Private. Send me a Pm if you ever want to get out, {after xmas] just got my drysuit back so the cold water is no problem..........I'm just north of Benfield Rd.......would like to see how the DF works, just got a Infinium LS, trying to figure the thing out, lot different then the Excal's.......Congrads on the Ring again.....joe

Pretty ring.

On community beaches approached from the water, in Maryland, you can go to the mean high tide line before you are considered trespassing. If you know someone in a community with a beach, make them your friend and get invited to go to their beach with them as a guest and hunt the water that way. Then you can relax on shore when desired.

i do borrow a boat sometimes and i was aware of the law, but i can tell you sometimes community members think they own the water so I have started carrying a copy of the law

The DF does a great job, but any PI is going to target junk metal along with the gold rings and even the Infinium LS with it's reverse discrimination doesn't always tell you what's there.

It responds to what it is electronically reading from the metal and sometimes interprets gold as iron!!

If it's a PI, dig it all and you will be sure you are not missing any gold rings!!

Once again Fellow Hunters, dig everything (except garbage cans or other huge signals!!) and go slooooooooooooow!!

You won't be sorry,

PS Scour the area close to huge signals, because there may be a ring close by that other hunters missed because they were overwhelmed by the huge mass of metal!!

I've gotten several that way!!
