Three rings for the month of June. I dug a ton today trying to eek out one more gold/silver ring...

14k and my first yellow gold.

Please overlook the inside of my truck.. I could clean it if I could stop detecting..

Pried about an inch in for it with my trusty screw driver..

Wow I would have never thought that park gold would be rare. Most of the park staff I've talked to says they havent seen anyone hunting their park for years! It shows in some cases..This park in particular, I found a gold plated (possibly..) ring, two cheap fake rings, one lying on the surface basically, and a silver necklace within the first hour of hunting. Plus a park ranger pointed me to where in years past people said they had lost items.. so that kind of helps narrow down starting points.

Mostly the clean sweep. I read a post where some one was talking about hunting a beach with a big coil practically running down the beach early in the morning swinging fast in hopes of beating others to the gold dropped the previous day.

I just started hunting park after park in high traffic places with what I thought would be a good coil for coverage and seperation, hitting what I thought would be hot spots digging targets that were shallow.

Sweet find, congrats on three in one month. I would like to see the pile of scrap pull tabs and can slaw. If you piled it on your garage floor it might reach your waiste
