Big surprise for me today when I dug these two dancin ladies! 1937 & 1917. I had been finding deep clads and pull tabs and I found the gold ring off to the side of the hill I was on. The ring was about 6 inches deep but in this spot I dig all the signals as they are few and far between...when I got further up the side of the hill in some trees I thought I had a silver dime at about 3 inches down so I didn't even bother to read the screen other than check the depth...the sound was great and I knew two targets were there so I started to dig and KAZAM! there in the pile was a big ole half and when I checked with my little pointer I could see the other not more than 5 inches away. Way Cool! I have found Half's now on two hunts in a row...that's like a record for me. Although one day I found Seven Half's all within 20 feet of each other...but that's another story.

Nice job! Just got off work and it is raining hard. So much for my plans. Keep knocking them dead.

Thanks for lookin Guys,
I have found a good bunch of gold rings some at lakes and some on land. What I did one day was take every gold ring I could find and ran them over the loop lots and lots till I started to get a sound imprint in my Nog. (I had to do it with nickles too) Then I got better at listining for them. It helps to be in the right place first of all.
Secondly I use a large portion of pure luck! Thats my greatest tool.

good luck to you!
