Gold ring # 2 for the year...

REVIER

Well-known member
A small park I have not hunted before, still using the F2 and the sniper coil.
I was actually in a pretty large open area swinging to and fro just digging any solid signals I came across.
Evidently luck is still with me...I came across a tab signal but it really was my second gold ring of the year.
Small, 2.3 grams, but still counts.

Says 10KP which at first I thought meant plated, but I have come to find out it means 10 Karat Plumb...a true weight of 10 karats in this ring.
2 months in, 2 gold rings.
I sure hope I can keep this average up for the rest of the year.

Sweet find! I hope I can add a ring or two to my bounty for 2013. - Jim

You have $51.57 cents there. A lot better find than a few quarters and pennies!!

Awesome many congrats,it is my goal to find gold this year.
hope many more for you.

thats not faire , I use a 1000.00$ detector and no gold , and you take the F-2 out and find gold , maybe F-2 stands for Finds 2 gold rings, good finds bro

Congrats on the second gold ring. The weather sure has been cooperating.

Since you were just digging solid signals and the ring came in as a clear pull tab, what promted you to dig it?
Did it have slightly different tone or a scratch and the end or was it just md'ers instinct?

Since most of the gold I have dug has been trash signals, an I sure do like to dig gold, I just got in the habit of digging most solid signals I come across to make sure.
I became a mostly dig it all kind of guy a long time ago and after I started doing that I for sure dug way more trash, but also Lots more gold silver and chains started coming out of the ground for me. too.
On the F2 there is not much difference in tones between gold and other things like coins, but the signal is usually very solid sounding, maybe a tiny bit rounder and louder than trash, and the numbers on the screen don't really jump much at all where trash usually does.
Now when it comes to using my Tesoros, big gold has a sound all its own and even the smaller gold rings are solid sounding and also not scratchy as I dial them in with the disc knob.

Congratulations, way to get a jump on us poor snow birds that just dug out of 32 inches of snow this past weekend.
I wish you continued success and hopefully you'll have a gold coin for each month of 2013 God Bless and HH!

F2 are great machines for the Price!

I think so.
As a matter of fact, I believe the F2 is the very best value on the market today in the starting end because of all the features it has, how it works and the multiple coil packages available.
I bought mine to use as a backup only, but it didn't work out that way at all for me.
I really took my time and put out the effort to learn it well and it has paid off in the clad, silver, gold and all the other great finds it has sniffed out for me.
Many, many times its cost if we are talking about melt prices on the gold alone, way over 10X's its cost if I sell those gold rings at retail.

Also, it's way fun to use.
