GOLD RELIGIOUS MEDAL & VERY LARGE SILVER SPINNER RING

Went out in SD's boat today to lake ST. Clair and found this gold religious medal (3.44g's). I don't know what caret it is, but by the way it was tarnished I would guess 10k. Also found two large silver rings both .925, one at (14.04g's) which I found first, thought that was big, but then I found this large spinner ring from Mexico, it weighed (20.73g's) and a quarter almost fits inside of it. That would have been great if it were gold:cry: Also found a cute little owl earring and some other junk jewelry and lots of brass shell casing, bullets and a few live rounds. Probable will only be diving a couple more times this year, the water is getting colder and I am having sinus surgery next week. Had a lot of fun metal detecting diving with SD this summer and appreciate him getting me into water detecting. I have land detected for years. Hopefully we have a mild winter and do some land detecting together. Thanks again SD.:clapping:

NICE...Gotta love that big silver...especially at 20g & 14g...adds up quick to over an ounce.I have yet to find a gold religious medal, that's a nice one you found, it does have a rather old aged look...I'll keep looking, got some time left B4 the cold fronts make it this far south...

Bob oz the bottom picture of it cleaned doesn't do it justice. Every shot I took made it look dark, it actually cleaned up great with no discoloration. Here is a few somewhat better pictures. I need a better camera.

What you guys pull outa the lakes amazes me and makes me think hard about maybe a Hooka set up!!

Na, at 71 years who am I kidding!!

As a younger man I learned to use a snorkle and have many hours of shallow water snorkeling to dream about.

You guys are an inspiration!!

CJ

Your welcome Kevin. Nice to have a friend to go with sometimes. You just have to make sure to stop getting more gold than I do. Being new at it you did take to it like a fish takes to water though!! Beginners luck! Wading and land hunting are next. But lets try to stay out of the poison ivy this year!!
