Gold project: results

A while ago I posted a message about not finding any gold. I decided to re-hunt an area I did when I was in my first week of detecting. This time I promised myself I'd dig everything that wasn't pure iron. This time around I found 3 silver quarters, 4 silver dimes, a few wheats, a couple bucks in clad, 2 cheap rings.....and finally gold! It's in two pieces, and I think it's a cuff link. It's solid gold and it's very heavy for being so small. I also found a gold plated little thing, maybe part of a hat pin?

There are also some of the other things I have found in the last few days in these pictures. Different hunts, different sites. I didn't include pics of the clad.

I'm also including a pic of my current silver count for the past 4 months. My goal is 50 silvers before the the ground freezes solid and snow falls!

Happy hunting everybody...

WTG. Great finds. Gold closed at $1271.20 per ounce yesterday and is predicted to reach $1400.00 + per ounce by the end of 2010. It had been up to $1276.60 per ounce earlier in the day.

My hat is off. Digging everything that isn't pure iron is a tall order. Patience and determination. Sure did pay off though.
