GOLD PIN

This pin is made of gold with the letters J.K.D. and 10k on the back. On the front is the letters W R C 1883 and in the center is the letters F.C.L. Does it have anything to do with the civil war? Thanks,David

WRC = Woman's Relief Corps, the ladies auxiliary of the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR - Union vetrans of the Civil War).
FCL = Fraternity, Charity, Loyalty (the WRC's motto).
1883 is the founding date of the WRC; actual date of the pin is probably a little later.
JKD = mfgr. Joseph K. Davison, Philadelphia; this company made quite a few GAR-related pins, badges, medals, etc. in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Buckram,
I just typed in Wcr 1883 and up came your Pin.
It is a Woman's Relief Corps
You can do the research,it' easy.
Good luck,
Jim Pa
