Gold Nuggets

Has anyone been able to find any nuggets with the T-2? Or a better question, can the T-2 find small nuggets?

Thanks...

I hunted a pounded civil war site that we have hunted for 30 years and found a pocket of shot percussion caps, dug about 6 in one spot and I have never done that in this site. It was right in the open next to a rifle pit. I know these had been passed over 100's if not 1000's of times. I couldn't believe how well the T2 picked up these tiny pcs. of brass. Many detectors will hardly respond to them. I would think it would love a gold nugget?

If snowflakes were gold flakes, I'd be set.

As it is, I've only been to a site or two for mostly testing. No serious digging here yet.

But, I did do air test with several flakes and nuggets. I've reported on that here somewhere back in the old pages. The gist of what I noticed was it was more sensitive to smaller gold than my GB1 and as sensitive as my Falcon MD-10 prospecting pinpointer. It could read about a .5 grain flake nearby the coil. Small nuggets read to 3" inches.

I also found small bits of native iron in my yard. Amazing. Took a powerful magnet to actually find what was setting it off.
