Gold nuggets and gold rings on Etrac

Neilo

New member
Today I set up 30 gold rings and a couple of gold nuggets to see what position on the screen and what digital number they would come up at. I was surprised to find that they all came up as being 12 ferrous and were all detectable on the standard coin mode. The nuggets, one weighed 22grams came out as reading 12-33, a smaller 1 1/2 gram came out as 12-10.
The gold rings were a variety of 9ct,14ct and 18ct of different sizes. the numbers were.

12-4 2 rings
12-5 1 "
12-6 1 "
12-9 3 "
12-12 1 "
12-18 1 "
12-19 2 "
12-20 2 "
12-21 1 "
12-22 1 "
12-24 3 "
12-25 1 "
12-26 1 "
12-27 1 "
12-29 3 "
12-34 4 "
12-36 1 "
12-38 1 "

Its interesting to note that all are ferrous 12 and all were detectable on the standard coin program. Also the highest numbers were not the biggest rings. Take note that some of the numbers matched more rings, 12-34 had 4rings, others had 3 rings. thought this might interest someone who would like to make a pattern up. good hunting seeya Neilo

Glad to help, Have just done a few silver rings conductivity was around 46 to 47 but the ferrous varied to 10 to11. hope this helps find a few goodies seeya Neilo

woops! Silver ferrous readings should have read as 2-3, got distracted and somehow wrote wrong numbers, sorry Neilo
