Gold N silver kinda day

Perseverence won out today as I went digging about 7:30 this morning and dug a silver necklace at 2:00 pm and a gold ring at 3:00 pm. Got about 200 coins, haven't counted them yet. Lotsa nickels.

The braided necklace is fairly heavy and measures 23 inches! You can see the 925 on the end. The ring is stamped 10 K and looks to have a rose gold strip and a silver strip on top. What a day - wonder how many years I am going to be able to keep this up. As long as John in Ohio keeps going I have hope :)
Good luck to all who can get out this weekend. It's on the couch for me to recoup.

PS. Whenever I get a goodie after a long day's digs like today I always think how it's like living the Christian life and in the end getting the Lord's favor as we enter Heaven. Those that wait upon the Lord & follow His ways shall get the "gold" in heaven. And no one more than myself has to be reminded of this ! steve in so

Nice finds Steve...what a necklace!! Great day of digging.

I sometimes have. I set goals and dont stop when I should sometimes. Today wasn't one of those times but they do happen. Got to learn to pace myself Nancy says :) steve

I was thinking two gold and one silver! ya did good Steve! :)

- sure wish we could detect here but not fond of detecting in snow - even if it is water that is in a modified form

Congrats Steve

I'm tired just from reading that post! I sure would love a chance to put in a whole day MD'ing. I'm lucky if I can put together 3-4 hours a week in the winter; maybe 12 during the summer.

Outstanding finds Steve!

Ah, if I could, I would (but I can't :) ) Sure hope I can make the forum hunt. May be tough to do in '06... we'll have to see.

I'll probably put in a long day MD'ing toward the end of the year. There's some good negative tides that weekend. Hopefully, the wind and waves will take some sand away and expose some goodies.
