so this is my 3rd year detecting and i found my first gold its a 10k ring that weighs 4 grams can somebody tell me what its melt value is worth so i can get the doubts that my bad detecting habit is not that bad of a habit to my wife thanks pettit
 
I'd say being your first ring...it's priceless

Give her the choice...have it melted or have it redone in a ring she likes.

thanks guys yes it is priceless to me i have never sold any of my silver finds either to me its to cool to sell did sell last years clad back i had $325.00 put that money towards a deleon not sure if i like this machine yet only time will tell
 
Here is a web site I use to determine value of gold, etc... http://www.dendritics.com/scales/metal-calc.asp just scale your find and put in the information. You'll get the current value, no guessing involved:wiggle:
