Gold Markings

Hi Everyone,

This morning I found a Gold Earing wih my Explorer XS. My problem is the markings on this earing. I think the numbers are 929 or 97.9. Sorry but even with a magnifying glass the numbers are still pretty small. I'll try a better magnifying glass tomorrow.

At any rate if someone has any idea of what these possible numbers mean I would greatly appreciate it.

The ring registered at the bottom midpoint of the smart screen display.

Thanks for you help,
Curtis

I don't know if this will help but If you have a good digital camera and take a pic on the angle where the markings should be then you can enlarge it and zoom in way better than your magnifying glass with complete stabillity. Give it a try?

Thanks, I don't personally have a digital camera but I'll give this a try at work tomorrow.

Curtis.

Thanks for your response. I think you're right. At any rate it fun digging up something besides coins.

A wise man once told me, "If it beeps, dig it!"

Thanks Again,
Curtis

It's very difficult to make the numbers out but you could certainly be right. Thanks for trying to help. I guess I'll just have to get out there and find some real gold with the proper markings.

Thanks again,

Curtis.
