Gold Locket / 1943 Half Dollar / Barber Quarter and Other Silvers

Finds are from the past couple weeks since my last post. This post is dedicated to my father in law Pat who passed away this weekend. He was quite a guy.

I pulled the half dollar yesterday a couple hours from home.
I lucked out on that coin because it was in the same hole as a 1942 silver nickel so the signal was skewed to lower wheat penny numbers.
A silver Roosevelt and the 1958 Canadian silver dime were also found in the same hole.
Yesterday was an 11 silver day (see picture of finds in my hand).
Most of the rest was from a "head south" weekend overnight trip with James the week before. The heat and humidity was terrible.

Coin Finds
1943 Half Dollar
1912,1939,1954,1964 Quarters
Numerous silver dimes. 1908 oldest.
Nickels are 1918D,1919,1936,1936,1942,1944,1945 (silver war nickels), 1959 Jefferson
31 Wheat pennies are back to 1910. Numerous are in the teens.
Foreign coin is a 1958 silver Canadian dime.

Non Coin Finds
Heavily Plated Gold Locket
Small Sterling Silver Ring
Part of Old Chevrolet Key
Initial Pendant
Various buttons, Watch, etc.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your Father-in-Law. Great bunch of finds and a ton of Silver too, Congrats!

Wow, what a great hunt.

Looks like some of my hunts from 40 years ago...not something recent!
Most of us will never be lucky enough to have another hunt like yours, these days...well done.
:)

Excellent finds - well done !

Awesome finds Dave! My heart would have skipped a beat with that gold locket much less that killer coin spill. Great results as usual. Wishing you and your wife the best during this sad time. All the best, Greg

Thanks. I appreciate it.
Finds came from a number of different sites, many miles apart.
I have heard stories about detecting back then but I didn't start until 2003.

Thanks Greg.
I didn't word it very well but the Walker and Silver Nickel were found in the same hole and the silver rosey and silver Canadian dime was found in another hole as a spill.
I just got a notice you uploaded another video. I will have to check it out. Stay hydrated! Detecting a few weeks ago was brutal for me as well.
