Gold ID Numbers

I know that on FAQ's a $5 gold coin will display a smaller number than a $10 or $20 gold coin. I'm curious as to what numbers a medium size 10K, 14K, and 18K rings will display. I know, size matters, but just taking an average what the difference would be. There may be too many variables but a best guess would be fine.

Here are links to a couple posts I've made in the past, regarding gold rings (and other assorted targets)

Hey Digger, that's great. Just what I was asking about. Thanks

I have found 2 gold rings in the last three hunts. A thin 18 k white gold ring came in at -2 to 2 and a 8.4 gram 14 k gold ring found today came in a solid 24 at about 8 inches. The thin ring was in ground reading 10-11. The larger ring was in tot lot ground reading 62. These readings was using the 10.5 DD 7.5 coil. I have been in a gold slump for nearly 2 years. The X-Terra has help me break the slump. HH

Congrats, glad the dry spell is over and thanks for sharing.
