Good test. Can you do another test on all the rings with the trigger forward with the sizing option.

Cool video. If you test it on larger gold items ($2.5 Gold and larger), interestingly, they pinpoint with 7.5 dominant. $20 gold pinpoints with 2.5 dominant. Thanks for posting it - it's very informative for the newbies. Best of luck and...

It will give you an estimate on the target size but I wanted to see how gold looked on the camel humps. I wanted to see if there was anything that stood out. Just to see if it may be possible to tell gold from other targets.

There isn't a detector that will tell you it is gold, sorry. We have done the entire gambit of trying to tell gold, do a search for some old posts.

The sizing screen will give you a relative size and which frequency is more dominate, that won't tell you it is gold.

The video was nice but for every VDI that did not get shown there is a piece of gold be it coin, ring, nugget, whatever that will match it. Pick a VDI and there is gold that will ID at that number.
