Gold Hunting & MD Leads for My Aussie Friends

G'day from San Francisco!

I was poking about Google books for a project and came across some interesting old books that I thought might be of use to Aussies and Kiwis looking for gold and/or old areas to search with the metal detector.

Google has archived hundreds of thousands of old books whose copyrights have expired, and they are planning on archiving millions more. These books are availible as free and legal (tho sometimes large) .pdf downloads or for those with slower connections, they can be viewed page by page online.

Using google books, in just a week, I have found more possible sites than I could detect in a lifetime just here in California.

Enjoy!

Great Info!

What are some of the California books you have found useful? I may be moving down that way and could use the winter to do some research.

Thanks
