What a great day for detecting! Colors were great, temperature was great and the finds were great too! Got a little from each category today.....gold, relics and coins.

I had a fiend come out from eastern Canada and we hunted for a good part of the day. Found and old calling jar mixed in the gravel of a river bed with part of the zinc metal tightening cap with the glass lid intact. Also dug a 1928 old penny from the river bed also.

Was in an older pic-nic area and dug up this cool vintage dinky toy. All 4 wheels were intact too.

And what a day for some gold panning. Finished the day by going down to the river in Edmonton and panning for some gold. And I always get at least a little!

Good variety of goodies.

Nice, johnE
