Gold ear ring

I thought the ear ring I dug yesterday looked like gold but no readily seen stamp. So I put the post of it under my high magnifier and it's stamped 585 = 14 K. It's hard to believe they can stamp on something that small. Here's the ring and a dime for size.

I've found some things like that with the marks so small I need a Loupe to find them. I think they must be lazer etched or something. Nice find!

...and the gold is in those playgrounds! 23 pieces of gold is very nice, indeed. The best thing about playgrounds is that you don't have to wait for the tide to go out

Also, I think a lot of people think only little kids with no money go there. They dont realize that a lot of adults are there with the kids. I have dug 3 diamond rings for adults there over the years. Also, you see lots of older kids at night messing around on the play things. At a pre- kiddie play area I dug a nice 18 K ring one time. steve
