gold, diamonds, and money

A quick "scrubbing" in the backyard turned up gold, diamonds, and money....for a grand total value of .11 cents. LOL!!
good fun! HH all! But I am working on a few new leads that could pan out to be great hunting sites. (pictured below, I found this old school a few counties away on a "Sunday drive", I am in the process of contacting the owner and gaining permission to hunt. )

That school looks promising...Hope it works out for you...I am trying to get permission to hunt an old Fire House that then became a radio station,. and now sits empty...Owner has not called me back...

that's some nice stuff you pulled out the yard, jj. it's pics like that and the old building that gets our blood up! my wife jokes that she is not worried about me looking at other women, because i'd rather do a double take on an old building or piece of land being bulldozed! cool finds, and the old building looks real good. hh,

reading this i just thought of an old abandoned fire house down by coloma. how would i gain permission to hunt it? who would i ask?

oh oooh. now that i think of it some more. its a historic firehouse and has a small park next to it. its out in the middle of nowhere on your way to the old mining towns.....where sutter first found gold. but oh gas prices urrgggg

Im not familiar with Coloma, CA or El Dorado County, and your location description was sketchy at best, but if you are trying to find the owner, this might be a good place to start

do you remember how far the fire house was from Coloma, north, south, east, or west of town or in town? And how close to highway 49 (on 49?) and which side of the south fork of the American river? Heres one 18 miles NW of Coloma in Auburn, not sure if theres a park by this one?

no i know of the pictured firehouse. thats in downtown old auburn. starting at coloma park in coloma you follow the river about half way done to the north i think and it stood off to the side i just googled earthed it and couldnt find the exact location looks as though they have built alot since i was last there. but it was more towards the north fork turn then it was towards 50

i just called my ex. he was the one i would always go to coloma with. he said it was right after the cool turn off on your way to coloma coming from the north fork bridge. he also said it may be a historical site he wasnt sure but i should contact the county and find out. just a piece of trivial knowlodge. has anybody ever seen the movie with john travolta called phanomina(sp?) its where he has werd powers and reads really fast? anyways that movie was filmed near that firehouse in auburn.

thank you very much as well for your link. i think i will have to go up tomarrow and check it out. ask the locals around there. i will try to remember to bring my camera and to take a pic of it so you all can see wht i am talking about. if its still there that is.
