Gold Cures All

I have been fighting bladder cancer for 7 years now and 14 months ago It flared back up with a vengeance.
So I have not been able to hit any parks or schools in about 8 months. When the powers that be decided that my bladder had to be removed, I wasn't sure if I would be able to detect any more providing I survived the surgery.
It got so bad I decided to sell my beloved MXT and buy a new Coin GT so I could at least hit a few tots when I felt good while waiting for the surgery.
I must say I was very disappointed with the new machine and after giving it a very fare 2 months to prove it's self, I sold it.
Then I started to really miss my MXT. Now I really felt bad. So I decided what the heck, and bought a new one.
I took it out for a couple of hours a day or as long as I could last for about 3 days. In about 6 hours of hunting time, I found lots of trash and clad, 2 broken rings, some broken jewelry, an old silver bangle, several cheap pendants, another cheap ring, a pocket knife, and a beautiful 14 K yellow gold ladies gem stone ring @ 4 grams with a 2 K blue topaz stone down 5" deep.
That gold alone looked so good, it was worth the price I paid for the new detector.
I had to stop at that point and take care of business.
I am now out of the hospital and still have all the main body parts to swing my new Black Beauty.
All I could think about before and after the surgery was that Gold. It carried me thru.
Like the song say's : Nothing can help you but the yellow stuff.
It will be a couple of months before I can get back into the swing of things, but I know The Gold is waiting for me.

Wish you improved health and many great finds to come. Welcome back to the MXT ranks.

I'm so sorry to hear about your health. I'm very proud of you for getting another MXT and going out. Yes, that's got to be a good sign with the gold ring. Some big guy is looking after you. Big hugs and HH till next time, Nancy

Speedy recovery and that is a nice gold ring. Congrats !

WOW that's an Awesome ring.
I hope for a speedy recovery so we can see more of the same.
You are in our prayers.

being on the mend doesn't really hurry things along, either. I'm slowly getting back into detecting after doing very little the past 10 months. Had p[art of my left foot amputated and last Tuesday the surgeon said things are healing well, you can start using your foot. Well, I have been, slowly, and the worst I felt was Saturday when I hunted for about 3 hours. The old legs were sure out-of-condition, to be sure.

Enjoy your MXT. My MXT Pro is my #1 use detector and it can do its job just fine. Now, I need to work up to the condition I used to be in , and I am sure you're not feeling as zippy as you were a years or so ago. Don't push yourself too hard as you get back into detecting, and best of success to you. The gold ring is certainly a good sign of how well things can go and there's more out there. Take your time, heal well, and enjoy.

For the good cheer. I wasn't really expecting that.
I was just wanting to brag about the gold ring a little.
The responses brought a tear to my eye and a smile at the same time when I realized that I have friends that I never knew I had.

That's finding the real gold.
Good luck to all and may we all find better health with each new hole we dig in the years to come.

Way to go bud,,and a speedy recovery too you, im also saving $10 a day to buy a MXT PRO for my birthday at the end of june Z

The best thing for a speedy recovery is getting out in the great outdoors. You have a great attitude,a great detector and luck on your side judging from that lovely ring you found.Best wishes, neil.
